This sound is made by my old continuity meter when the contacts are moved around. The clicking sounds similar to that of a more modern geiger counter or dosimeter. I was looking for a smoke machine blast and a c02 gun blast for an after-movie sound design, but i couldn't find a proper sound on the internet, so with my sound design knowledge, i tried to replicate those noisemakers. I got a weird story for this one! i took a machine sound from my grandpa's workshop, overloaded it with flanger so it didn't even sound like a machine anymore, got a little snippet of the sound, pitch shifted it up, and repeated it, eqed it, and added some reverb. I recorded some rain outside my front door. This is a tuned (a440) sample which you can use to achieve a sort of soft-yet-textured synth string sound in a virtual instrument like ableton's sampler.
